Green Reps - This program aims to enhance the university experience by getting students involved in activities happening in residences.


EcoNetwork - The network is a uOttawa employee program that aims to increase actions to create a balanced and green workplace.




Bike Coop - The University of Ottawa Bike Co-op is a creative space and community hub for all bicycle enthusiasts.


Bike-share - The concept of Bike-Sharing is quite simple; bikes are loaned free of charge to members of the University community.


Bike Parking - Cycling is one of the best ways to commute to and from the University of Ottawa. The University provides bicycle racks throughout the campus, available to anyone who wishes to use them.



Bottled Water Free - The University of Ottawa is a bottled water free campus. The University invests regularly on improving the fountains on campus.

World Water Day - Health Promotions at uOttawa informs the community about the world water crisis.




RecycleMania - A friendly competition  for college and university recycling programs to promote waste reduction activities to their campus communities.

Dump and Run - A residence move out program that is part of the efforts to promote a culture of sustainability on campus while reducing the amount of waste sent to landfill.

Free Store - A reoccurring event that allows you to drop off stuff you don’t want anymore and pick-up things you do want for FREE.

Earth Hour - An international awareness raising event for energy focused around the symbolic act of turning off your lights for 60 minutes.

Demand Response 3 (DR3) - A program by Ontario Power Authority  to reduce the energy consumed by large institutions during extreme temperatures, ensuring that Ontario’s energy grid remains stable.


Community Gardens - The University houses approximately 50 garden plots available to all community members.
